I am going to begin bookmarking again, it seems I am finally getting a little more time to read around the web these days. So, here are some of the most encouraging and thought provoking blog posts I have read recently:

1.) My Life For Yours: A Mother’s Pondering About Her Body

This post was found over at Generation Cedar and is a reminder to view our bodies as instruments for the glory of God rather than idols of self worship. This is so easy to do in our current culture where motherhood is not necessarily looked at as a satisfying lifestyle choice. I truly loved one particular quote that said this:

“We are not to treat our bodies like museum pieces. They were not given to us to preserve, they were given to us to use.  So use it cheerfully, and maintain it cheerfully.” -Rachel Jankovic

2.) Who’s Wife Are You?

This post found in the archives of Challies.com was a great reminder to be particularly suited to your own husband and how that may look differently for every wife. Here is a little taste:

“If a wife wants to know if she is submitting to her husband, it may be that the better question for her to ask is, “Am I actively rebelling against his leadership?” It’s not a matter of the particulars of what she does compared to other women, but whether she is following her husband as he leads her into being his perfect complement.”

3.) Twelve Ways to Love Your Hubby Without Saying a Word

Check out this great, practical list of things you can do to show your husband you love him over at Passionate Homemaking.

4.) Grocery Item Goes Gourmet

Oreo Truffles, need I say more? I’m loving the Balerella website!

5.) Coupon Management

I’m not much into the couponing, but if I was… (one day I will) this is how I would do it. Simple, to the point and you can keep your sanity in the process! Check out Gospel Homemaking!

Well, that’s all for now folks, happy reading on this beautiful Friday.

  1. Although I do not have children (yet) ;) I’ve found that the Homeschooling section of the Pioneer Woman website is a great resource! Since following it over the past few weeks, I feel I am so much more informed on the topic of homeschooling. The contributors share their experiences, provide suggestions for choosing cirriculum and so much more. Anyway, I find it very helpful!
