Waiting
Come quickly Lord Jesus
Tear the dark curtain of night away
and reveal the brilliance of your joy.
This waiting is so painful, so uncertain
You said you would rebuild what they tore down,
that you would rise and live triumphantly.
The morning can not come soon enough,
for my soul yearns for your return,
it aches for the redeeming power in your nail pierced hands!
I long to look into your face and share in your joy.
The joy of your accomplishment.
The joy of the Redeemer and the redeemed.
I am so looking forward to celebrating the Lord’s resurrection tomorrow. Aren’t you?
