Treasuring God Giveaway!

Today I shared the newest DV Printables and they were Christmas Printables! I don’t know about you, but I love Christmas. I love the smells, the music, the family, the traditions, and of course I love celebrating the Lord Jesus Christ’s incarnation.
One thing that I particularly love about Christmas is creating new ways to place Christ at the center of our celebration. As a young family we have the incredible opportunity to create traditions that are all about our Lord and Savior. It is so much fun to come up with unique and creative ways to honor him with our holidays.
One great resource that I have pulled ideas from is a book called Treasuring God in Our Traditions by Noel Piper. Not only have I pulled specific ideas from this book, but it has motivated me to come up with my own traditions that glorify the Lord.
So, since I am in the Christmas spirit around here… I am going to give away two copies of this wonderful resource! You can enter to win this book for yourself or give it as a gift to someone you know would benefit from it!
Here are the four different ways you can enter:

Of course I “like” you already!
One of my favorite traditions on Christmas eve, we let Naomi open one present (always pajamas!) and then Dallas reads the story of the candy cane. (which is the gospel in creative form) Afterwards, she picks a candy cane off of the tree and re-tells us the gospel using the candy cane- and then eats it. Yumm!

They are awesome!
(: My favorite Christmas tradition is the trip to the mountains to find our tree. My husbands family celebrates Thanksgiving on the Saturday following the holiday. That morning we all head up to the mountains to go Christmas tree cutting. Uncle Steven brings his special chicken soup and homemade bread and others bring cookies. There is usually hot water for cocoa too. The kids always hope to see some snow but either way it is always a treasured memory…
Our favorite Christmas tradition is tree decorating party. Even when we had very little money, my mom went all out- making snacks and party food and punch- just for our family. We would eat our party food, decorate the tree, and trade off who put the angel on the tree each year!
My first time here!
My favorite Christmas tradition??… Playing in the snow on Christmas Day!!
One of my favorite Christmas traditions growing up was that instead of opening all our gifts Christmas morning, we spread it out over a week or so, and each kid would have a night to GIVE their gifts to the other members of the family. That way, the focus was more on what we were giving rather than on what we were getting, we remembered better what gift came from who, AND Christmas lasted a lot longer =) (and it started sooner!)
