Encouragement for a New Year of Homemaking

These are the quotes at the top of my daily planner this year:

They are to teach what is good, and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled.” (Titus 2:3-5 ESV)

“Mothers, the godly training of your offspring is your first and most pressing duty. Christian women, by teaching children the Holy Scriptures, are as much fulfilling their part for the Lord, as Moses in judging Israel, or Solomon in building the temple.” (Charles Spurgeon)

“Oh that God would give every mother a vision of the glory and splendor of the work that is given to her when a babe is placed in her bosom to be nursed and trained! Be encouraged. The work you do, if you do it for the Lord, has profound worth. For that reason it is imperative that you take it seriously and put forth every effort to do it well. Let’s seek the Lord’s grace for a year of intentional homemaking!
