If you don’t know who the Gettys are, you need to. Seriously, go to their website, listen to their music, and then buy it.

They have carved a niche into the Christian music market with fresh, beautiful, thought provoking, doctrinally rich hymns. When I sing these songs at church and in our home my mind is flooded with Biblical images, encouragement, and motivation. Take a listen to my latest favorite “By Faith”. I seriously cannot get this song out of my head and am so blessed by the lyrics.

No really, listen.

 

Did you hear those words?

“By faith our fathers roamed the earth

with the power of the promise in their hearts

of a holy city built by God’s own hand

a place where peace and justice reign

our soul’s reward!

These truths are so sweet; like honey on my lips. They bring tears of joy to my eyes and lift my soul from the mundane to the glorious. Sing with me today of our soul’s reward!
